1786年11月30日，歐洲的塔斯卡尼（Tuscany）公國（現在義大利的一個行政區）成為歐洲第一個廢除死刑的地區。因此，由Community of Sant'Egidio發起，推動每年11月30日為Cities for Life day。在11/30那天晚上，所有參與的城市，用燈打亮一個城市的象徵性建築，象徵著那個城市尊重生命、願意接受廢除死刑的觀念。去年總共有56個國家中的760個城市參與，今年台灣的NGO也將響應，敬請期待當生命之光在台灣發亮的那一刻...

On November 30th, 1786,the former Republic of Tuscany (now an Italian province) became the first European country that officially abolished the death penalty. The Community of Sant'Egidio has pushed for making November 30th the year of the Cities for Life day. Each city of participation will light up a building of key significance to show their respect to life as well as promoting the idea of abolishing the death penalty. Last year, 760 cities of 56 different countries took part in this memorable activity. Non-Government Organization of Taiwan will follow suit this year. Let's lookforward to that day, when the ray of life is lit up on our Taiwanese soil.

到這一刻，2008年10月，台灣史無前例的，沒有執行死刑將近三年。2003年，由包括民間司改會、台權會、台北律師公會、東吳張佛泉人權研究中心、輔大和平研究中心等團體共同推動成立的廢除死刑推動聯盟，交出這一個小小的成績，來呼應聯合國剛於2007年底通過的 62/149 號「呼籲全球停止執行死刑」決議。我們所推動的廢除死刑運動，不只是存廢之辯，而是一個包含了被害人保障、社會教育、國際串連、建立論述與政策的全面性行動。Say YES to Life, Say NO to the Death Penalty!

To this moment, October 2008, Taiwan has held moratorium for almost 3 years. It's a remarkable record in Taiwan history. Established in 2003, TAEDP renders this small accomplishment to celebrate the 62/149 resolution made by UNGA at December 2007, to appeal the moratorium on the use of the death penalty. The movement TAEDP promotes, is not just a talk about pro or con of the death penalty, but a full-aspect action including death watch, victims' protection, social education, international networking, and policy lobbying.

創作理念 / Concept:

2008年4月30日在網路上看到「女王頭玉頸漸瘦，遊客勿伸鹹豬手」這則新聞，心想身為藝術設計創作人，應該要為自然環境保護盡一份心力。於是，當下團隊研議，臨時決定推動『女王頭創作展』這個活動。
由7BOX發起關懷環境系列創作，以關心臺灣自然環境的為出發點，此次創作主題以「野柳－女王頭」做為關懷保護天然環境的開端，關心我們生活在這片土地的自然資源，喚醒大家珍愛地球的重要性。在短短時間裡，邀集創作人參與，時間上是很匆促的，但大多數創作者對這個議題都有很積極的參與感，深知保護關懷應該從現在做起，由心出發，起而力行，盡一份地球公民應盡的責任。
女王頭－關懷環境系列的創作展，首站計有13位台灣創作者共同參與，從活動的發起，到獲得創作者們的響應，整個活動過程相當緊湊，非常感謝創作者們百忙之中抽出時間共襄盛舉。
巡迴展第五站在高雄子宮藝文，目前預計還會有作者再次加入創作，展出日期訂於2008年11月15日至11月26日止，落實女王頭創作巡迴展北、中、南，全台展演的目的。
女王頭創作巡迴展，每站都會有新的作者群加入，創意將無限的擴大延伸，守護女王頭的精神也將得到更多人的支持。
關懷環境系列公益酷卡（明信片），於每站活動同時，在該展出場地供大家自由索取（送完為止），藉由收藏遞送環境資源保護的訊息，讓更多人瞭解保護自然環境的重要性，一同珍惜地球上的自然美景。

展出期間現場提供女王頭系列酷卡（明信片）免費索取，送完為止。
藏書票首印版共發行九款，三張一套，隨機包裝，精緻典藏，送完為止。

Our team decided to take on the project “Creation Queen's Head”, upon reading the news of the neck of the Queen's Head is getting thinner and thinner due to years of wind erosion and tourists putting their hands on it, while being photographed together.

The purpose of “Creation Queen's Head” is to raise awareness over our own natural resources, as well as giving more attentions toward the environment. Despite the time restrain we have on this project, artists in the project have been extremely enthusiastic and involved. Taking better care of our surrounding, a responsibility the goes to everyone, is something that should come from the heart and being put to practice.

We want to give out our sincere appreciation for the 13 Taiwanese artists involved in the “Creation Queen's Head”. Thanks to them for taking some of their very precious time to take on this project.?

The Kaohsiung stop of project“Creation Queen's Head”is WombBloc Arts, starting from November 15th to the 26th. It will also be the completion of our exhibition in the major areas of the Island.

More and more creative minds will be involved in this exhibition as the tour goes on. Postcard verion of the presented art works will also be available, free of any charge . Through this exhibition, we hope not only to expand the creativity, but also to present the idea of protecting our own national treasure.
