One of the key veterans in the still very young Taiwanese electronic scene. Following the release of two mega-platium albums that made Lin a household name across the island, Lim's third offering 『Entertainment World』, released in 94, was a ground-braking electronic affair that marked Lim's transition into the alternative, electronic sound. Lim went on and became a DJin 97, spinning drum and bass, breakbeat, ambient while gradually morphed into the experiemental sound he is now known for. Fusing electronic beats with samples of traditional Taiwanese instruments and sounds, Lim's musical creation is uniquely Taiwanese in itself. In addition, Lim also writes and produces film scores for seminal movies including Dust of Angels, Goodbye South Goodbye (南國再見 南國), Millennium Mambo (千禧曼波) and more. Lim has done music for commercials and various music projects as part of his impressive resume. It's good to have him here at WombBloc Arts once again. Lim is sure to put on a good show, so don't miss it.

凱比鳥／DJ Zephec／VJ Dolcevita

我是一隻小小凱比鳥
混過台北 剛從德州和紅樓表演回來 還想要飛得高又高
出了專輯 做過原聲帶 金曲獎提名 其實都不重要
重要的是來到子宮的小小凱比鳥
隨著Zephec sound和dolcevita的友情參一腳
想要飛得比挑戰者號還要高又高

Fresh off their SXSW in Austin, Texas, it's good to once again having the boys of KBN here in WombBloc. Cheer Hsieh (謝青翰) and Chet Liu (劉鎮) formed KbN (凱比鳥) in the late 1990s. Back then, they were just another group of guys with another punk band. Now, 10 years later, with several lineup changes, with the departure of Liu and new members like BoBo Chen (陳映霖) and Jerry Fang (方宜正) coming on board, as well as a major musical redirection, KBN is now offically a trio focusing on the experiemental electronic sound.

They have played at all the major music fests across the island, along with their music making appearances on compilations by Taiwanese labels like White Rabbit Records and The Silent Agreement. Better yet, KbN's song “Urge (衝動)” earned a GoldenHorse Horse Award nomination for best original film song for the Hou Hsiao-hsien (侯孝賢) film Three Times (最好的時光). KBN also has an album 『Before 2005』, released last year.

All that being said, just in case if you don't really care for their impressive track record, it's a fun time everytime KBN stops by WombBloc. Their music should serve as reminders of what you might have heard and loved in the past, yet KBN owns an unique and eclectic sound that is sure worth checking out live. Also on board for this show are Zephec on the DJ deck and VJ Dolcevita. Zephec's strong debut artist album-『We Will Still Repeat Today』, came out last year with its finely written and produced minimal techno sound. This is Zephec's first go-around at WombBloc.
Joining Zephec for the show is VJ Dolcevita, a member of the Taiwanese VJ group Muse Whisper VJ. Muse Whisper has been a frequent preformer in major fashion shows, music fests, theater and dinner parties for the last few years. Young as Dolcevita (turning 22 in July), she sure got a lot of experience under her belt.

Fun group, a DJ, and a young VJ, together they are here to make sure the opening of new WombBloc a sure-fire success.

They've been touring around Taiwan with shows in Taipei and most recently a slot at the 08 Spring Scream. Let's find out how their punk sound will work in an acoustic set. Again it's their WombBloc debut, so please welcome these guys with open arms and our southern charm.

創作理念

某日在閱讀幾本女性時尚指標的刊物時,
紛紛指出嘻皮,印花,塗鴉文藝復興時期的等等元素再度流行,
平面藝術(含版畫與刻印等GRAPHIC ART)將廣泛運用於時尚流行之中…

顯而易見地藝術(ART)是受到人們所喜愛,那麼廢料(FART)呢?
然而我們又如何界定何謂藝術或廢藝術(FART ART),
是否錶上高級的訂製框,標售到超乎常人能購買的價格才叫藝術呢?
還是當時尚品牌將塗鴨創當作流行元素時即是藝術?
那常常出現在我們週遭生活的街頭創作(URBAN CREATION/ STREET ART),
只因呈獻的場景是在街道上的磚瓦以致於只能當作無意義的創作?

705藉FART與ART的諧音以及創作,盼能重新定義ART的本質與價值,
也希望生活在水泥叢林(CONCRETE JUNGLE)的我們能留意週遭任何形式的創作,多一份注視多一份愛

One day when reading the several female high-fashion-orientated magazines, 705 found coincidentally they all point out hippie elements, printing, graffiti or the Renaissance graphic art and so on elements will be generally applied to fashion...

Automatically the concept was well up from mind, everyone loves "ART", but none loves "FART"!

However, what is the definition between art and fart art? Who has right to define? If the paints are framed by custom wood or metal frame and auctioned via overprice, then they are so-called art? Or when high fashion, luxury brands announce graffiti or street arts will be other elements of fashion, then they will be art? Now, think about the surrounding urban creation and street arts. Do you think they are meaningless fart art just because of being presented on street bricks or concrete walls?

經歷簡介

創作者705過去幾年曾往返倫敦紐約香港等地討論產品開發，
也在台灣、大陸、越南甚至柬埔寨工廠檢視生產流程，
看過血汗工廠及超時加班,對於流行有著另一層面的思維...

擷取solution前三個字母翻轉後的數字705為概念，
表達只要能翻轉既有的設限或就能找出解答，
作品中常出現蝴蝶因其經由翻轉蛻變才能夠在空中完整展出雙翅

705的創作以翻轉解構後的思維交織著浪漫血腥的超現實美學繪出都市人對於生活的不安與爭扎以及對於愛與和平的渴望

Past years 705 had been participated product development meetings in London, New York and Hong Kong, also been in Taiwan, China, Vietnam and Cambodia to do production inspection and quality control. Because of experience in “sweatshop and frequency overtime”, 705 has a unique, different thought of fashion.

Alias 705 is to take the first three letters from“SOLUTION”and get them upside down. The concept idea is if you think from different angles, you will find out your solution.

705 restructures different layers of thoughts and combines bloody surrealism with romantic drawing skills in his artworks to express urban residents struggle for love and peace.
